Dr. April J. Boyd is a vascular surgeon, surgeon-scientist, and vascular surgery research director at the University of Manitoba.
April completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University. She then obtained her MSc and PhD in physiology at the University of Toronto. April also completed her MD, as well as general and vascular surgery training at the University of Toronto. April was the first woman president of the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery. April’s research investigates the relationship between human abdominal aortic aneurysm tissue pathobiology and computational fluid dynamics to improve prediction of abdominal aortic aneurysm growth and rupture.
